Dear President Obama,
I am an African American gay artist and I am economically poor. But I am daring to keep my hope alive through the creation of one of America's next great brands, tcg unlimited, based on my own personal music and art based creations. It is my hope that some day I will be able to meet with you and your wife Michelle. I am inspired by your story. Here is mine:
As a child growing up in Hartford, CT I was severely abused by members of both sides of my family. It is only by the grace of God that I blocked out much of it and am here to day filled the possibility and the audacity to hope for change in the path of my life.
I want to work for myself! I don't believe that there is anything wrong with that but there are some incredible forces against me now. I am currently without a place to live or the finances to create and build my business. For everything I have wanted for I have had to fight! But I really am in need of assistance so that I may grow.
In the past month, I have had to file a copyright infringement lawsuit to secure my rights as a songwriter for over 30 songs. The industry and their supporters have come after me hard for that. And those powers are working hard so that I give up hope and remain moneyless, homeless, and unprotected. In no way do I believe that this is what God has intended for me or for my life.
Mr. President if you are able, please provide me with some resources so that I may have access to the legal, housing, financial, and educational resources necessary to live out the true American dream. I too want and deserve access to prosperity. I too, have not given up HOPE. Can you help?
I want to thank you for your leadership.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Gouch
